Toad in the Hole

I'm not exactly sure why we're making this tonight, but my wife said I had to.

• Sausages
• Bread
• Vegetables (I used frozen peas and carrots)

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Put sausages in a baking dish. I just put them there.
3. Make a hole in the middle of some bread and put it on top of the sausages. Again, I just put it there.
4. Put the vegetables in the baking dish with the sausages and bread. Just sort of mix them together.
5. Season with salt and pepper if you feel like it. I only use pepper for special occasions.
6. Pop it in the oven and forget about it for an hour.

I'm not really sure how this recipe came to be, but it's definitely not complicated. The result is...fine. You might like it. My kids don't.
