Gyro Chicken

This isn't really traditional gyro, but my wife says it's close enough.

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breast
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken in the oven for 45 minutes or until cooked through.
  4. Warm the pita breads by wrapping them in foil and heating them in the oven for a few minutes.
  5. Assemble the gyros by slicing the chicken and placing it in the pita breads with some tomato sauce.
