Carl Sagan said it best: "If you wish to bake an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe." I'm Dave, and here's my take on a simple apple pie. Nothing fancy, just a straightforward recipe. It's a classic: protein, starch, and vegetable. Easy to throw in the oven and forget about.
Simple Apple Pie
This recipe uses readily available ingredients and requires minimal effort. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
- Apples (about 6-8, whatever's on sale)
- Pie Crust (store-bought, obviously)
- Sugar (granulated)
- Butter (salted)
- Peel and slice the apples. Not too thin, not too thick. Just right.
- Place the apple slices in a baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar.
- Top with the pie crust.
- Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about an hour. Until the crust is golden brown.
That's it. Enjoy. I'll stick to the CTV news now.
